Limewise was founded to reduce the carbon impact of the built environment by upgrading existing buildings rather than replacing them. Environmental responsibility is therefore central to our business, not an add-on.
Our commitments
- Retrofit first. We prioritise the refurbishment and deep energy retrofit of existing stock over demolition and new build.
- Recognised standards. We work to PAS 2035 (domestic) and PAS 2038 (non-domestic), applying a fabric-first approach and targeting alignment with the UK’s net-zero trajectory and MEES.
- Waste. We minimise, reuse and responsibly recycle construction waste, and require contractors to comply with the waste duty of care and use licensed carriers.
- Responsible sourcing. We favour durable, lower-impact and responsibly-sourced materials where practicable.
- Compliance. We meet our obligations under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and related legislation.
